BROWSER COMPATIBILITY
Carolinas HealthCare System prefers Microsoft® Internet Explorer
5.0 on a Microsoft® Windows Operating System running an 800 x 600
screen resolution.
Did you receive one of the error messages below?
- "Document contains no data"
- "Cannot retrieve document"
- "User authorization failed"
- You see old news instead of today's stories
- Search pulls zero stories
If yes, the issue could be fixed by clearing the browser's cache.
How do I clear the cache?
Select the browser you use: Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet
Explorer. Follow the instructions below:
Netscape Navigator 4.0 (browser screen)
- Go to "Edit" menu at the top of the browser screen
- Click on "Preferences"
- Click on the plus-sign in front of Advanced
- Click on Cache
- Click both "Clear Disk Cache" and "Clear Memory Cache"
- message will pop up telling you that this action will remove all files
from your disk/memory cache - click "OK"
- Click on final "OK" in bottom left corner
- Exit/Close Netscape
- Reopen Netscape Navigator and try again
Microsoft Internet Explorer (browser screen)
- Click "Tools" from the menu at the top of the screen
- Click on "Internet Options"
- Click on "General"
- Click on "Clear History" and the "Delete Files" - click "OK" for each prompt.
- Exit/ Close your browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer)
- Reopen Microsoft Internet Explorer and try again

- Click on the "Help" menu located on the toolbar.
- Select "Contents and Index."
