NEUROPSYCHOLOGY SERVICES
Carolinas Rehabilitation offers both inpatient and outpatient neuropsychology services that include:
Pediatric Neuropsychological Testing
- Assists in medical treatment and school placement.
- Evaluates a patient's cognitive functioning in a wide range of domains such as memory, attention, language, affect and problem-solving skills.
Pediatric Neuropsychological Therapy
- Treatment for adjustment of recent trauma or impairment.
- Treatment for development of coping skills.
- Treatment for family adjustment and coping
Adult Neuropsychological Services
- Neuropsychological testing for inpatients and outpatients who have experienced trauma to the brain.
- Provides recommendations to patients, their families and healthcare providers regarding the assessment of competency, need for supervision, occupational issues and the ability to return to work.
- Provides pyschological assessment.
- Provides individual behavioral and psychological therapy.
