 QUICK FACTS

It takes a 3-year-old child less than three minutes to open a bottle with a "child safety cap."

A poinsettia is NOT considered a toxic plant. A 50-pound child would have to eat more than 600 leaves to reach a toxic level.

10% of all poisonings involving children under 3 years of age involve poisonous plants.
