ACUTE STROKE & CEREBROVASCULAR DISEASE
The Program
The Acute Stroke Program, in collaboration with stroke specialists at Neuroscience and Spine Institute, is dedicated to helping patients make successful recoveries from stroke. This program
is the first in the region to offer management of stroke services from emergency medical services
through rehabilitation at home.
The first in the region to offer many technological advances in the treatment of stroke, as well as management of stroke services from emergency medicine through rehabilitation, the stroke program at Neuroscience and Spine Institute has been recognized for medical excellence by the National Stroke Association.
With the goal of helping patients regain function, treatment includes comprehensive rehabilitation at the Carolinas Rehabilitation, which is on the campus of Carolinas Medical Center.
The Acute Stroke Program is committed to an intensive, far-reaching community education effort.
Its goal is to reduce the risk of stroke and to improve patient outcomes. For more information, call
